Is it possible to upgrade from 3.6.7 to 4 directly?
And will any database tables be affected? |

Yes it is - the 4.0 upgrade system will upgrade anything from 3.6.0 onwards. Lots of tables will be affected, there are many database changes between 3.6 and 4.0.

Make sure to backup fully before you do try it! My suggestion is to take a backup and create a test site then do the upgrade to make sure.

Don't forget to disable the modules within 3.6.7 before upgrading! The first few upgrades I did from the 3.x series to 4.0 I forgot to turn them off and took a few hours trying to figure out why I was getting all kinds of errors.
