Search options in VB4

Hi there.

I am playing around with search options for my site. I want to understand better options in the quick search and advanced search for full text searches. For example, I want to search for '3 bedroom' but it only looks for 'bedroom' - is this a syntax thing?

I am also looking at Google custom search but haven't done much with this as yet.

Is there a better VB mod I could use instead?

I have played around a bit with tags but for this to work for me I would need to force new posters to select from the tag list I created. I feel this should be a standard option. It is fruther complicated by the fact that for some forums, I am using the Easy Forms mod that doesn't seem to allow for tags, and permits only one thread prefix to be defined - was thinking thread prefixes could help.
