Threaded view mode for vBulletin guests - display modes
threaded view mode for vbulletin guests - display modes
Check your forum as a guest, does it suck? You might be giving your viewers threaded mode as their default display mode. The three available vbulletin display modes are linear mode hybrid mode threaded mode Here's the threaded display mode mode, which sucks. Attachment 122228 As you can see there's about four responses in this forum thread, but only one can be viewed under threaded mode. A member would have to click the links above in order to see that conversation. When you go to a shitty forum and can't see the original post, and see broken links all over the place, threaded view mode is to blame. What you want your guests and all users to see is linear mode, which shows posts from newest to oldest, listing newest posts first. Next up, how to fix it ? :erm: |

Follow those arrows from left to right. (Just disable all the shitty view modes offered by vbulletin so that only the good ones are left standing) If that sounds like overkill. Also .. To adjust existing users: Quote:
Yes, it will be bloody, but it works! Honest. What about the Guest ? Still they show the normal view modes... let's try something else... Any Idea ? |
