I'm getting too many spam sign ups
<a href="http://armour.ws/community/" target="_blank">http://armour.ws/community/</a>
Look at my statistics. I have over 2,000 members (Since 2008 the site has been up) yet most of them I think are spam sign ups with just people placing links in their signatures. What can I do to prevent these sign ups in the first place? I have captcha enabled, but that isn't doing anything. I'm having the same problem on my vB3 forum as well. |

Try this: StopForumSpam: https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?t=230921
There are versions for VB3 also. |

Is there a mod that you can prevent sigs? like until a certain number of posts?

I disabled sig for users when they first sign up until they make a couple posts, they get automatically upgraded to another user group once they start making post and then are able to edit their signatures afterwards. You don't need a modification to do this, it is all in the admincp! I'm also pretty sure there is a way to prevent people from placing links in their signatures. |
