Most Recently Posted on Threads Widget?

Okay... this is something we had on vbadvanced, but I have yet to find it as a CMS widget yet.

I want a widget that shows the 5 most recent posts. However, if a thread is popular, I don't want the 5 most recent posts to be all from the same thread. Basically, this widget would be the 5 most recently bumped threads.

I have seen 2 widgets here, one is the 5 most recent posts, but more often than not, all 5 posts are part of the same thread. And the other is the 5 most recent threads, but that only lists newly created threads, not bumped threads.

I know exactly what you're talking about, and I'd like something similar as well. I can find a link or a picture if anybody wants to take a stab at recreating this.
