Please Help
Hey everyone.
I need help and would appreciate any that would give me a little more knowledge to how things actually work with V bulletin. I've been reading the forums and there is so much info that it is overwhelming. I'm trying to find tutorial material that will explain exactly how to place hooks from mods and addons to pages created within certain areas of the forum. example.. how to place a video player on the web main page from templates or custom BB codes. Sorry if I sound ignorant to this BUT we all got to learn somewhere. Thanks for you help.. Desperately frustrated |

Mods are becoming more modern that all you have to do is copy them to where they go, import the xml, then config the mod in admincp, but there are some, even after you install them you have to make some edits to your templates, and you can always ask questions in the thread that you got the mod from for help. I am no expert either, and I try to stump by also, and some stuff can seem overwelming. You just have to take it step by step, day-to-day...

there is a You-tube mod out there...Do you already have a mod, or are you looking for a mod to do this? If you do have a mod, post the link and I will take a look at it. It would not hurt for me to have videos also... |

I'm trying to insert a SWF file and insert a player from the links and manager addon (links_playerbit_JWPlayer) but have know idea if it's there or how to place the player on the page without going to an out side source and using html code.. or is that what I'm suppose to do??
I did find a reference to hooks in the quick reference Plugin system references but again have no idea if it's in the right direction.. |

You are doing something more advanced then what I can do. if
all else fails, hire a VB coder that can do this for you. |
