I don't even know if you can "subscribe" to a thread, I only see subscribe to forums. IPB has the watch feature and it's pretty handy.

Yes you can. While viewing a thread click on Thread Tools and then Subscribe to this Thread.

Thanks jscieza! Now I know. That's a little convoluted. Be nice to be a single click and a widget on the forum page. Oh well.........
