I'm getting MAJOR blog spam. Possible to have 100 post minimum to use blogs?
Is there a way to do this?

I think there's a mod floating around here that does something like that. But I'm not sure it will help because it would just drive them to post in the forum instead. Better to just change your Q&A so they don't register in the first place.

Thanks, but I'm really looking to do this solution. I also want to keep new members out of the blog area as well. My forum has about 100k members and the blog section would be better off removed than in its current state.
Could someone help me with some directions on how to add a postcount requirement for posting blogs? |

Really looking for a way to have a 100 post requirement for posting blogs.
I asked vb.com but they said vb.org is the place to go for this. |

Just add a promotion to a new usergroup with perms to post in the blog. Admincp>Usergroups>Promotions.

I have 110,000 users. A usergroup promotion is going to be overkill. There should be an easy way to do a conditional on the blog-create page that shows a message if the user has less than 100 blogs.

vb.com wont help
if someone could shed some light on this, that'd be great. |

I just made a new usergroup that users after they are at our forums for one week and make 10 post, they can access the blogs along with a promotion.
It wasn't that hard, and has cut down on the comment spam. With that said, you might try the advanced permissions mod by Cyb- |
