Help please - Access Denied in content manager
Hi,
I am running vb4.0.4 and have been for a few weeks without any problem. Obviously I am the site admin but today when I click on the 'Content Manager' from within the vBulletin CMS I get the message 'Access Denied'... I have also noticed that articles I am posting are not being posted to the front of my site which prompted me to go to the CMS and see whats going on. Help please! Simon |

Yes the site in my signature ... perhaps I was not clear with what I put in the original question.... it has been working correctly so therefore of course there is content showing. I am talking about when I am logged in as admin in the admin control panel of vBulletin - in the admin panel when I click on the 'Content Manager' from within the vBulletin CMS I get the message 'Access Denied'..
Help please!! |

then something is wrong, corrupt file or some malware even maybe. it wont hurt to overwrite the board, so worse case you just upgrade over it. I would also make sure you have anonymouse ftp disabled and change all your admin passwords when you upgrade over it with a clean copy of VB 4.-.4 or 4.0.5 if you have a good backup you may want to try that and then do a secure lockdown of the system with stopping the ftp access if open, and password changes, it could be a corrupt cookie situation but who knows? |
