passing custom metas into headinclude vb4.0.4

I made a copy of forum.php and use it to generate other pages outside of vb4.0.4. Have a custom template for it, and pass the output from my custom scripts into the templater array. All works nicely, and I can generate custom page meta titles on the fly, however, I custom meta description and keywords too, but they are generated in the headinclude template and I'm unable to pass any page output to the headinclude. How can I do this?
