Dev Tracker from other forums

Hey everyone,

I was wondering if anyone has experience with creating a custom Dev Tracker. It would basically pull the latest posts from specific users on a forum that's not mine. Someone has made one for the game already, Rift, but I'd like one for my own site. He's not up for sharing.

I was thinking I could screen scrape it, but you must be logged in to view search results.

One way to do this and the way I have it set up on my forums is through RSS feed.

Go to: ACP > RSS Feeds > Add New RSS Feed

Feed is Enabled: Yes

Title: Rift Dev Tracker


URL of Feed: http://forums.riftgame.com/external....2&forumids=249


Check Feed Every: 30 minutes or how ever often you want to have it checked.


Maximum Items to Fetch: 0


Search Items for Words: Leave Blank


Search Item Body Match All Words: Leave Blank

User Name: What ever user you have set up as an RSS News Bot


Forum: What ever Forum you want the threads posted in.


Allow Smilies: No

Display Signature: No

Convert HTML to BB Code: Yes

Leave the rest as default and save.
