I would like to incorporate paid subscription to my forum, but I don't know what I should offer.
Its an automobile forum (Audi) that has banner ads from different sponsors. http://www.turbofsi.net/forum More PM storage? More albums and number of images? Hiding banner ads? |

Thanks,
Well, most of the features like signature links, bigger avatars and sig images do not apply to my case, since they are standard. I was thinking of More PMs, more gallery images and hiding banner ads, but are they enough? I was thinking of 5$ per month. 1 more question. Let's say, A member signed up for recurring payments, but he decided to cancel it from his paypal panel. Does vB handle this? |

You could allow even bigger avatars for paid members... even if just a little, for example I allow 100x100 for free users, 110x110 for premium (paid) and 120x120 for ultra premium.'
More PM space is a must... I limit free accounts to 50, up to 500 for ultra premium.' A private forum is always nice hidden/blocked to non-paying members. I don't allow attachments for free users... 5mb for premium and 25mb for ultra premium. I also let paid members delete their own posts or threads, free users can only edit... Basically just go down the list of options for usergroups and see what is available. Also blocking ads for paid members is a must. I leave 1 banner at the very bottom of the page for premium members and none at all for ultra premium. |
