If I start a new site but want to keep my forum setup as far as categories, forums and sub-forums is there a way to do this?

Couldn't I copy the files from the database that are the data for my forum categories? without taking the users, posts ect?

There are no "files" in your database just code.......you cannot do that.

"export" table (forum)
and import it to a clean Vbulliten SQL
you cant add it to a SQL of a old vbulletin (as in a SQL which has forums and sub-forums in it) without doing major editing

Remmber to rebuilt after with all your counters
