Bump Management

Hi folks,

I'm looking for a way to manage bumps on the trade section of our website. The feature is fairly straight forward, and the core of it may even be possible with some simple template additions, but that's a little beyond my meager experience (though I'm learning).

Essentially, I want to be able to give specific forums a special set of rules, where only posts from the OP will update the time stamp of the last post. Meaning only the OP can bump the thread. That's my request in its simplest incarnation.

Expanding a little bit, I'd also like it so the OP can only bump the thread once every 24 hours.

Ideally, and this is getting into the realm of a serious product, I'd like to do-away with members replying to bid entirely, and have some way for them to add a comment on the first post with their bid, simmilar to the thanks/feedback mods.

Anyone have any suggestions, or willing to help out?
