In usergroup manager, HTML markup for usernames, there's a box for opening and closing HTML tags, you can use any HTML code you want, <b>. <strong>, <i>. etc... I imagine highlight is a style you'd use <span> for but off hand I don't know the specific HTML code, just where to put it. Of course that will make the change virtually everywhere the username is displayed including the postbit and user cp.
