How to add this to header?

Greetings everyone. I am wanting to add an image link to my header that gives the current gold and silver market price. Can someone please steer me how to do this?
I would like to add it here.

Any reason as to why you are using depricated tags? And the img tag is not closed properly either btw. Anyway, try this:

At the header template find the following code:

<div><a name="top" href="{vb:raw vboptions.forumhome}.php{vb:raw session.sessionurl_q}" class="logo-image"><img src="{vb:stylevar titleimage}" alt="{vb:rawphrase x_powered_by_vbulletin, {vb:raw vboptions.bbtitle}}" /></a></div>

And after it add the following code:

<div style="float:right;"><a href="http://www.kitco.com/connecting.html">
  <img src="http://www.kitconet.com/images/quotes_2a.gif" alt="[Most Recent Quotes from www.kitco.com]" />
</a></div>

I cleaned up the code, made it xtml valid.

Like that you will have the image like you wanted. If the image is big and overlaps the header,
use the width attribute to resize it.

If you want, you can also create a class for the second image
and define its properties at the additional.css template rather than applying them at the style tag like I did.

You are welcome.

That code was using old dashioned html tags which are not xtml valid and shouldn''t be used. Anyway, use the ones I posted above as they are cleaned up.
