obtaining 'context' infromation from within direct execution widget

hi,

how can i obtain information in what 'context' direct execution widget was invoked?

i'm mainly after identifying id for displayed article. i can do it by parsing $_SERVER['REQUEST_URI'] but that just feels wrong; i've inspected content of golobal variable $vbulletin but have not found there what i'm looking for.
