vb3 to vb4.
Is the only way to have existing users/posts/forums from a vb3 board moved to a vb4 board with an upgrade?
Is there a way to have an existing vb4 install and import the information into it? |

Well I plan to have vb4 styled modded and ready to go and nothing more than a DB import to get it all up and running.
Is ImpEx for vb3 -> vb4 or just other forum software to vbx? |

Upgrading would be best done through the upgrader and not the Impex system.

if you do upgrade make sure you delete images from the package and you may want to download your styles other than default and add them back after the upgrade this 403pl1 does some wierd stuff to styles as it merges them and overwrites a bunch of junk

You cant import a vb3 database into vb4 you have to run the upgrade than add your style AFTER the upgrade.php script

Impexing your database instead of an upgrade is Not Supported. I'd strongly suggest doing your upgrade the way you are supposed to - by running the upgrade script.
