Looking for advice on customer service
Hi - I have setup my first set using a forum and have heard tons of good things about vBulletin which is why I chose it. The developers are still creating my site so when I signed up and bought my VB license I only bought a month of phone service. From your experiences using the forum software is it straight forward enough that you don't need the extra help or would you suggest getting a longer term customer service agreement? Thanks in advance! Doug

I think it depends. A lot of users only use the forum support, which is free. And then there are other users who only use the ticket system (which is free for a month with the purchase of vB4 Forums and free for life with vB4 Suite). And then there are users who like to talk to people to get support (which is a monthly thing). When you have a question, you may want to try searching the forums first and see if a lot of your questions get answered in there. If so, it may mean you don't really need phone support and could get by just using the forum support.

Also, these forums, here and vb.com are a gold mine of information. Simply by browsing and reading through them you can learn a lot of things. You can start by checking the online manual for ex. And if there will be something that you will need help with, you can always ask at the forums as suggested above.
And welcome to vb btw |
