I don't think i'm missing something but is there a way to make group URLs friendlier?

IE: so Linux usergroups w/o a website/home could create a group on one of the sites I run and it'd be domain.com/BCLUG

Without adding to the .htaccess every time.. so it'll automagicaly happen?

That's exactly what I'm looking for as well. The doc's are kind of vague as to what is and isn't supported with the mod_rewrite URL's and I can't find much on extending friendly URL support to other features..
