my site, xtremeutvforums.com is down. all i can get is blank pages. i cant even log into the admincp. nothing works.
The site was working just fine yesterday. Im running vBulletin 3.8.4 with vbseo, vbadvanced, and some other plugins/products. I wanted to install a new plugin, so I made a backup of all the files and the database. the new plugin didnt work, so i deleted everything, then attempted to restore the backup I had made last night. I put all the files back in place, and wiped out the database then re-uploaded the backup. now all i get is white pages. I cant figure out any reason why im having this problem. any ideas? --------------- Added [DATE]1271973395[/DATE] at [TIME]1271973395[/TIME] --------------- I dont know if this could have anything to do with it, but when i backed up the files i did it through the file manager in plesk. the site is on a godaddy virtual dedicated server with plesk 9.3. i went into the file manager in plesk and copied all the files to a separate folder. then when i tried to restore the site i also used the file manager to copy all those files back to their original location. |

You shouldn't delete your forum and restore just because you want to remove a plugin you didn't like. To delete a plugin you uninstall it from your admin panel and then you delete the specific files from your server. You don't delete your entire forum and then restore, that's a really bad habit and will cause you major headaches down the road if your forum grows bigger.
But what's done is done, live and learn. Did you check phpMyAdmin to make sure that your database restored correctly? Are all of the tables there? |
