Hypothetical Question about Deleting / Restoring forums
I have a hypothetical question maybe you tech savvy people could help me with.
Say I had a website with many forums. Then one day I had an angry moderator delete a forum, and I didn't notice it for a week for whatever reason. Now I know I can restore the forum if I do a back-up from a week ago, but how would I do that without losing all the new threads/posts created in the week since the deletion? I guess the question is, is there a way to restore a single forum without restoring the whole website? Thanks in advance. |

Not unless you know your way around mysql, no. You would need to look at the post, thread, and attachment table at least. I have seen users post in the Paid Services forum to get this done. I'm not sure if someone took on the job though.
