Bots keep coming.

Is it just or does the bots pass registration?

I get like 10 bots or more everyday, how to I stop them?

About 2 weeks ago I added the advanced registration mod, I made it so the user must answer a simple question at the bottom of the registration page. Not 1 bot has been able to register since. I was getting about 10 a day also. annoying.

This seems to best, easiest and most sure way, it also works on my forum. Occasionally, a human spammer will get through, but they are soon weeded out, banned and their posts deleted.

I'm using the vbstopforumspam mod.

I don't even need my mods any more. Not one spammer signup in 2 weeks!! (we had 5-8/day before the mod)

yea i was also getting alot of bots each day..

but replacing the human verification with a security question does the trick..

not one bot since..
