Default Server issues :(

It's been a horrific week for me, I was on shared hosting and after installing vbseo, my provider decided to disable my account, already with 6k members soI ordered a VPS...

Basic info:

Centos 5.4 vmware
512mb ram
800MHz
PHP 5.2.9

Installed, vbulletin+vbseo, disabled; calendar, search(guests), social groups and other vbulletin features.
My site does not have that much traffic, only about 20 guests and 6 members at any given time of the day, sometimes it can go up to 90 guests and 20 members.

My site went offline yesterday for about 3 hours and today for about 20 minutes.

What can I do to decrease server load and memory usage? What's the proper configuration to run vBulletin + vbseo? Should I disable vbseo completely?

I have not messed with any settings within the VPS.

I will provide more info if needed.

Please someone help me!

To decrease load / memory issues, I'd suggest disabling services that you don't need. You can check what processes are running by typing ps acx within shell.

vBSEO is a memory hog, as it does lots of optimization which requires a little bit of memory. I wouldn't say turn it off completely, as you paid a good amount for it. (assuming you paid for it)

As Marco said, the configuration question might be better fit for vB.com, but you haven't provided enough details for any tips. What type of HTTP server are you running? (LiteSpeed, nginx, apache, etc...?) I can give you a few tips, maybe, but you'd be best to ask at vB.com for eva2000 to help you.
