Doesnt work, I made sure I did everything right...Messed up my login...shows as if im not logged int yet there is a log out button. Reverted templates until it is fixed hopefully.

This shouldn't have affected your login area. All that was affected in the login area (header template) would have been the "Inbox / Notifications" tab and that should have been removed as per the instructions. Try it again and if it doesn't work I will go back and review the code and see if there are any errors.
