How to embed an outside website into CMS
I've seen this done on other websites just not sure where to start. I'm trying to embed a website with a totally different domain into a CMS section with full navigation functionality. Possible?

You would probably have to use an iframe. If you want to do it inside a template then either modiy and existing one or create your own.
Second option is to perhaps enable HTML in the CMS side of your website. This is very dangerous though and I would only enable HTML for yourself only. Ensure your account password is strong though as you don't want someone hacking your account and inserting malicious code into your CMS. Anways... enough of teaching granny to suck eggs Once HTML is enabled you can insert an iframe directly into the CMS content as you wish. I would however advise strong caution as any links that are clicked in the external website could easily 'break' your site. Any hyperlink with the target attribute set to "top" or "parent" would instantly meant the URL executing in the main browser window rather than the iframe and therefore moving your visitors away from your vbulletin website and just onto the website linked to in the iframe. Hope that helps. |
