Would it be inappropriate to request to pay someone to port a mod or two over to VB4 that hasn't been already and that I fear won't ever be. They're important Mods to my forums and we won't upgrade until they're available.

Is that stepping on toes?

If that is for personal use only, it is my understanding that such a thing is allowed. But you can''t distribute them here or eslewhere without the permissions of the mod authors.

borbole is correct. You may pay someone to update them for you, but you may not share that mod with anyone afterwards - it would have to be for your own personal use.

Every court in the world recognizes that people die or go missing for a while, and when they do their stuff is given away. Except vb.org. Write a few lines of code, and you own it for eternity, dead or alive.
