Adding Custom Home Page
Hey all,
I have been trying to create a home page and some extra pages that will use VB's header, footer etc and I have been having some trouble with this. The home page will be in the root directory and the forum is in forums/ directory. I know I can use some of the custom script to create pages easily but can this still be done with my directory structure. If not how can I go about this? I have wasted enough time on my own struggling with this so I am eating my pride and asking for help... Heeeeelp... FYI-The previous version of this site had basically just sort of copied the source code in for these pages. The header and footer looked like VBulletin but were not connected. When ever VB was upgraded those pages stayed the same, the clock didn't work etc... This time I want to do this correctly so these pages truly do share the script.. Thanks so much, Webdevoman |

You can add extra pages to your forum very easily. Have a look at this article: https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?t=228112 Or you can use my mod, it does just that but it supports only one page atm. https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?t=235359 There is also another mod that allows you to add several pages to your forum. Have a look at the Add-ons section for that. |

Thanks,
It is not adding the pages that is an issue. it is the directory structure. I am not sure if you read my whole post or if I made any sense.. lol It is the fact that the forum is in a forums/ directory and I want the extra page to be in the root.. This is what keeps causing problems for me.. Thanks again for your help. I really appreciate it.. Webdevoman |
