How does this work if you use no follow on all of your vbulletin pages?

depends by which mechanism you use nofollows, for instance I think the VBSEO one is ran last, so in theory it would add them.

but, it depends on how they are added I guess.

do you have a nofollow plugin installed? if so, let me know how it behaves so that I can resolve any issues.

I'm using the no follow option on vbseo, but i'm wondering in terms of seo benefit if you have no follow options turned on then do the links that this mod creates still count and actually benefit your seo??

if you have external nofollows enabled then the destination site will receive no seo value from the links, unless they are specifically whitelisted within VBSEO.

however if you are linking internally to another page on your site, the nofollows are not applied by VBSEO as it only adds them to external ones.

SO: if your forum is about "call of duty" and you have a specific page you want to optimize for that keyword in google, you should use this to link every occurance of that term to that page, and it will improve the internal linking focus of that keyword.

it depends on what you want to optimize for mate, for instance on my site I want to appear higher for the search term "seo tools"

SO: I have set it up so that every time someone mentions that keyword phrase in a post, it links to my "seo tools" page.

as they are internal links, they do NOT have the nofollow tag, and my internal linking is now optimized for that page to raise in the serps for the search term.

If Im not explaining myself well here, let me know, I will write a blog post about it!

cheers

I understand i just wanted to confirm,
The problem is the internal links that are on on every page, to me the ideal mod would be something that you could use to put no follow links on your internal links you choose,

If i understand it right, your link juice is split amongst all links on a page so even so for example if you used this mod for the search term "SEO mods" it would still need to share the the link juice with things on the page that do not help your seo like the words: post, forum & thread for example. obviously this mod gets your keyword to take some % of that so it is benefiting but it would benefit more if their were an easy way to put no follow on certain internal linksnot everything so link juice is still being sent to places you don't want it

I know vbseo has some options but

This is the way i understand it, please correct me if i'm wrong i'm not a seo pro like you guys it's just something i'm interested in
