How do I set-up a "right column forum block"?

Hello all,

I am trying to set-up a right-column on the forum home to put a vertical google ad in (120x600).

I see there are some mods out there that do it for you, however when I use the mod it creates a right column that goes all the way down the right side, and it creates an empty space along the right side of the "what's going on" etc. sections.

I just want to create a block that goes alongside my forums, and not all the way down to the bottom. So I'm guessing I have to adjust the code so the block doesn't go all the way down the right side.

Any help would be appreciated. Thank you in advance.

I'm having a problem similar to that too! Only I don't have the blank column.
