i don't want people to be able to post attachments, i've turned it off in the CP but the attachments bar when someone goes to post a new message is still there...

does anyone know what code or template i need to edit to get rid of this...??

Even if you disable attachments in your CP, they still show up on the post pages, although they serve no use under those circumstances. You'll have to remove it from the newthread, newreply, and editpost templates.
