Forum Home Enhancements - Partner/Advertising Box for Forumhome fashion Sidebar (CSS)

This mod create a box fashion sidebar for forumhome (with sidebar CSS).

I would like to use this for something else like announcements and stuff, but is there a way to make it into a widget instead so I can disable and stuff? I like the idea of it showing not only in the sidebar but also the main part of the site.
