Quick prefix change for thread starter (Vb4)
Hi guys, I have several forums set up as sales forums using thread prefixes...
[For Sale] [Sold] ...what I want to do is put a button in the postbit of the first post in a thread, that is only visible to a thread starter and staff. What I want the button to do is to change the thread prefix from [For Sale] to [Sold]. At the moment the sellers change the prefix by editing the thread title, but it involves several clickthroughs. What I would like to do is make it as easy as possible for sellers to change the prefix by using a "mark item [Sold] button". Members find the searchable prefixes very useful, but they are only good if the members are diligent about changing the prefix. It would be nice if the button also locked the thread. I only want the button to appear in certain specified forums. I'm thinking this can all be done with conditionals, but I've been away from vB code for so long now and it's changed so much I havent a clue where to start. Any help woul;d be much appreciated. Thanks. |
