Section for grid downloads
Is it possible that we get a section especially for vb4 CMS grids in the mods category of vb.org?

We will probably not create a seperate forum for them at this time. In the near future the whole way of storing and searching modifications will change, at which time this will also be addressed.
We might add a new tag for the time being. |

I think we need a prefix for VB4 side blocks as well. Im going to add both.

Could we have a checkbox thingy for mod options to indicate compatibility with forums only or suite.
I've released one mod which isn't compatible with the forums only package; depending on how I end up writing another mod i'm working on, that may be suite only as well. (The first its OBVIOUS its suite only, the second will not be. |

I think the best solution right now is to have some text at the top of the release post. As we will move to a new system in the near future, it is probably best if we leave the current one as is.

Im not sure about the "near future"
Those checkboxes are a pain to add, however, I think its proabably a good idea to have some way to distinguish, besides the prefix (a CMS Widget is obviously Suite compatible). I dont think "Requires Suite" would be the right choice - some may not require the CMS/Blogs, but will work with a suite installation - so perhaps just "Suite - Compatible with vBulletin 4 Suite version" |

In that case you should add something for each product eg
Forums - Compatible with vbulletin 4 forums only version. and Suite - Compatible with vBulletin 4 Suite version. The requires suite was more me thinking, pretty much every mod that works with forums only will work with the suite but the reverse is not always going to be true. If it required something from the suite eg its a content type... then it'll require the suite to work. (On the other hand, it'd probably work with 4.1 forums only as I gather that everything will be a content type in that) |

I really can't write a grid code myself and when purchasing vb suite this was the biggest selling point.
So far we are two months into vb 4.0 and not one single custom grid has been created or shared. Will the vb staff produce more grids themselves? |
