How can I change my forum's title without changing the name?
I want to make the forum name and title (<title> title</title>) different. This is because I want my title to be a little more descriptive for search engines... but it looks way too long when it shows the name. For example, when PMing someone after getting an infraction it says the whole title, including the part I added. "You have received an infraction at My Forum - A quick description of my forum" is the title of the PM instead of "You have received an infraction at My Forum"

Edit the <title> in the template.
To find the template to modify, do this - vboptions > General Settings > Add Template Name in HTML Comments > set to Yes . Then go back to your page and view the source code and you will see the name of the template called around your part of the code. |

If you do as Lynne says above then remember to turn that HTML comments setting back off again afterwards - you should have it enableb on a live site.
