Redirect midway during processing?

I have implemented hooks on fetch_[post/thread]info that when the item is not found, it redirects. Got this all working fine...

Just wondering if there are some calls I need to copy in manually to "close off" things - session, user info, etc. etc.

Anything that needs to be executed prior to redirecting?
