How can I add a right and left border to the skin
I am a newbie to skinning. I want to have a border on the right and left of the body. I have the images, I just cant find a way to apply them to the skin. There is no side border style variable that I can find.

I'm currently trying to do that. The only thing I've found is to do the changes directly into the different templates. So, what you can do is put the whole "body" thing into a table (3x1) and put your border as background in the first and last cell.
in the navbar you have the start: Code:
<div class="body_wrapper"> Code:
</div> <!-- closing div for body_wrapper --> |

Body thing? I am looking to drop vb4.0 into a custom designed page skin of my own but can not find the body template to modify. There must be an easy way but where is it?
I have an existing html site with content using a an external navigation set template that I would like to put in place. I was able to easily do this with the existing YaBB 2.4 but I am moving away from YaBB to V4 cms and can't till I figure out how to own the layout here...sigh |

I was talking about encapsuling the body_wrapper div into a table. I don't think there is an easy way to do that with the stylevars.
