What could this be caused by?

It looks to me like it was designed that way. You'll notice the same white line across the top of the whole grey area of the postbit. They likely both share the same class.

How can I edit that white line out?

EDIT: Nevermind I got it..

The actual gradient image contained a 1 pixel long strip across the top. I filled that in, problem solved.
