Changes from vb4>vb4
I installed RC2 and honestly other than the themes change I can't really see much difference especially looking at the admin control panel. I guess after hearing v4 was a complete rewrite I was expecting a bit more or maybe I am just not looking in the right place.
I did find this but everything listed seems to have been included aside from some of the obvious such as SE friendly urls etc. I was looking to hire someone to do a bit of work to my forum and trying to figure out if I should stick with v3 for another 6+ months or see if v4 has new thing to offer that might make it worth me just getting it done now, I usually am one to let the dust settle for a while before upgrading which is causing my dilemma. If anyone knows where there is a list of improvements to the forum software (ndont rally need the suite) I would really appreciate it. thanks |

The information regarding changes between vb3 and vb4 would be on vbulletin.com. You should look over there for posts/blogs regarding the changes.

Thanks Lynne,
Unfortunately that is the first place I looked and even after digging through blog posts and threads and was unable to find anything really. Seems like the only huge change I can find is the integration of the CMS system which is pretty nice I must admit but just not something my guys would really use. Thanks for the suggestion though, I guess I will just keep looking but at this point it seems that sticking with what I have for now. Also sorry for the incorrect title, should read from v3>v4 obviously. |
