Scaling Logo

Hi folks, I am pretty new to this so bear with me. Is their a way, or a specific graphic format that will allow my logo graphic at the top of the pages to resize as the user resizes the active window, currently my graphic is a .gif and as you resize the window the forum shrinks but the logo graphic stays the same size and part of it disappears from view.

Thank in advance for your help, vbulletin forum newbie.

oh almost forgot, using latest version of 4.0RC2
