Is there a mod or simple way to make a category display all posts in its subforums?
For example, I have a category named A, and under category A, I have three forums: forum1, forum2, and forum3. I would like to find a way to show all posts in forum1, forum2 and forum3 when a user clicks on category A. Make sense? Can it be done? |

That's how I'm using it. I have a photography section with multiple subforums underneath the larger parenting forum I am part owner of. In the drop down menu, the main category is listed for the whole photography section (I put it's forum id in) and it lists the new posts for all of the child forums. It still not be what you are looking for, but thought I'd let you know that it does work like that.

You have to be a member of the user group to see the posts, but our site is: http://www.modern-bliss.com
You can at least see how the nav bar works. It makes one new posts for all the forums and then a drop down menu for the sections you want to isolate. And it does only show unread posts, but it's forum (or subforums) specific, so it still might not work for what you want. |
