It's done this before and naturally corrected itself - I assume - but never for this long. Can I manually fix this? *feels very frustrated right now*

Obviously you need to get in touch with your host....

my host are +++++++s they never reply to emails and their "contact hours" are mon - fri, which means that if it doesnt fix itself, im going to have to wait another 2 days before anything happens

Page loaded for me, not that fast mind you, i would suggest getting a NEW host if they dont support their customers correctly.

As well, if you have modified your forum fro mthe default vb system, ie added hacks, styles etc, your host probably is limiting the resources your site can use, which your going to get with 99% of the cheap $5 a month hosting accounts people try to use to save money.

Exactly, you need to move to a new host immediately. The issue is not something you can change, it is server side.
