Default Pre Sale Question - vB4 - Blog for free?

Hello,

I am planning to purchase vBulletin forum software tomorrow. Just want to know that will vBulletin 4 Version is coming with free blogging platform ?

I mean now we have to purchase blog plugin separately... I heard somewhere that vBulletin is coming with combo pack - CMS, Blog and Forum - So will all these 3 features come up in $180 pack ?

Thank you & Regards,
Mandar

Only the forum will probably come at the $180 rate, but the combination of the three have yet to be announced.

From what has been announced on vBulletin.com, there will be two packages:
  1. vBulletin (Board Only)
  2. vBulletin Suite (Board, Blog, Project Tools + CMS)
They are most-likely not going to be priced the same, seeing as vBulletin (the board itself) is $180. The blog is $60 as it is.
They MAY (not will) offer a discount for current users, or MAY (not will) offer a discount for everyone for the Suite. There are no guarantees about this, as it's my personal opinion on business.

It all depends on how much you're willing to pay.

At the moment, it'd just be easier to purchase the vBulletin software, and the vBulletin Blog addon (equaling up to $240 USD)

It has not been announced what is in the Suite package. You should read the notifications over on vb.com to get the most accurate information regarding the Forum Only and Suite package.

Hi. I'm brand new here, with a question about a certain Vbulletin forum. How can a user delete his or her own posts and/or whole account from a particular forum? In particular, on a certain forum I would like to remove/delete some posts and/or just have my account removed. However, the 'mods' admins or whomever has control over it, has not enabled permissions to delete my own posts and/or account.

So, in general, who do you need to contact, to have your posts and/or whole account deleted from a forum. It's SO annoying, the fact that things were said that I very much regret and ended up with a bad rep on a particular forum (there were some +'s but mostly -'s). So, I have no desire to go back there but also want to clear out, at least certain particular posts that I had made, that were just wrong (for whatever reason).

What's the best way/is there any way to accomplish this? Maybe, if you set up a new username/account using your same email address, does that clear out everything that was there under your previous screen name? What if you send a PM to the admin(s), try to find out who the owner(s) of the forum are, then contact/email/or PM them? Does a forum user have more rights, such as being able to delete your own posts, when they buy a subscription?

What if you would -- go the the extreme-- of buying your own Vbulletin software, find out how it works, and then try to figure out some way of deleting your own posts and/or account, from the forum that has everything you ever said archived and some of the things held against you?

Any answers on this would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

If the admins didn't set it up so users may delete their own posts, then you simply can't do so. You would have to ask the admins to delete the posts. Many admins will not delete posts, nor will they delete user accounts, so they may just tell you no.

If the suggested pricing over on vBulletin.com was true, the price would probably equal the price of two add ons bundled together, so you wouldn't BE paying for the Project Tools. Meh, it's a guess based on months old semi leaked confidential information though, and it's pretty likely to change.
