HTML enabled for forum, off for regular usergroups, safe??? Amazon Associates
Is it safe to turn on HTML so I can put Amazon Associates ads in some of my forum posts?
The forum would have HTML enabled in admincp. But every usergroup except me, the only administrator, would have HTML DISABLED as a usergroup. Is this a security risk? Or does it only allow me to take advantage of the HTML? Or can they work around it? I really need to be able to do this so only my admin account can post HTML and every other account it won't function. Please let me know ASAP if its safe. THANKS! |

HTML may not be disabled per usergroup. It is either turned on or off for the forum. And no, it really isn't safe to allow users to be able to post html. You should be able to figure out another way to add your code to your posts (bbcode?).
