Is there any way to remove some or all of the options from the new PM dropdown menu? I would like to remove Unread Picture Comments and Picture Comments Waiting Approval if possible.

Ideally I would rather just have it go directly to new PMs when clicking on the New PM link and have people get a PM for new comments, group members etc but I don't think that is possible.

You mean the Notifications dropdown. I think I have seen mods that will do what you want - try a search on "notification*" in "all mods" "titles only"
