Embedding vB Forum within a webpage

I'm curious to find out if anyone's customised their forum/site to the extent that a webpage can embed the forum in something like a PHP include function or something similar?

So that effectively you're wrapping header and side panels around the forum - but not with something like style templates in the admin - unless this is easy to customise.
