I want to change the template of register to become a simple and compact form

It's not your original design & I very much doubt that you have permission to use any part of it.

Stop calling him out for this. He is just giving examples of a simple registration form instead of the default vB. I am also looking for a similar mod. Please advise.

there are about 5 million websites that have similar if not exactly the same looking registration page. A page layout/registration page layout cannot be copyrighted. Before making outrageous accusations think a little. Now back to the main topic you would have to edit the "register" template. That has all the information for the registration page.
