301 old forum urls

Hi All,

I am trying to permanently redirect some old forum urls to a new board on a new domain. Here is what I am using in my .htaccess file:

Redirect 301 /forumdisplay.php?f=11 http://www.mydomain.com/forum/forum-name.html

But the rule gets ignored each time. Any ideas what I'm doing wrong?
