Drop down search error - reference to security token

Can anyone help me solve this problem with our board? If I use the drop down search box from the nav bar, I get a security token error. Please see attached screen grabs.

I forgot to mention we are running v.3.8.4

Security token issues are usually a problem with custom styles.
