Subscribers not following Moderation Rule?
Hi,
I have a VIP system where users wh purchase a subscription are placed in a different user group. Anyway one of these users has become a pain and has been set to COPPA so that any posts or threads would FIRST need to be approved by a moderator. The user just posted and even though he shows up under 'COPPA' his post went straight through without waiting for approval. Meanwhile other users who are just registered users and are placed in Moderation follow the moderation rule? Do I have to remove the user from the paid subscription in order for the account to follow the moderation rule? |

Permissions work in such a way that a Yes, or bigger number in some cases, overrides a No, or smaller number. So, even though he is in the COPPA group and Follow Forum Mod Rules is set to No , it is set to Yes in the subscribed group, so the Yes overrides the No.

So I would have to demote him from subscriber to a normal user then?

Yes. Or, is the Subscriber group a secondary group? If so, and all those users are in a primary group that has that option set to Yes, then you can set it to No for the Subscriber group and then the Yes in their primary should over rule the No in their secondary group. NOT TESTED, so try that on your test site first to see if it works correctly for you.
